One doesn't always have to make the first move? Think about that.....maybe it's time to stop doing all D work!!! Let them GO!!!! With technology today at it's greatest levels, smart phones, face time, text, skype, tango, FB message, need I say more?

~You can love them, want them, need them, care for them, but stop stressing over them, they don't deserve your time, they don't deserve to take up space in your head, causing you undo STRESS, and STRESS causes you to be unhealthy~

Give that space to someone or something much more worthy!!!!! You and your body will thank you for it...trust me on this....You are so worth it!!!

Shooting at Lone Star College Houston, Tx North Campus

"D" News Special Alert: Sadly Another tragedy involving a shooting! Lone Star College at Houton Tx North Campus at appx 12:52 Pm CT. Reports are confirming and saying; there has been a dispute between students, one maybe two people produced a gun! Note, this is a NO gun policy College, the college is now under lock down at this time, and evacuating....also a couple of students got caught in the cross fire, there are reports that say a person was seen getting away into the woods! There are patients in the hospital with multiple gun shot wounds, and possibly injuries can be very serious, unconfirmed at this time......They are not sure if one of the patients is the shooter, It is at this time considered an active shooting, it is also unclear if more than one shooter is involved....More details are coming in.....

I would like to add, there is a very fine line between living in the world and becoming of the world! As these economic time get harder and times are changing, We as individuals need to start examining what is truly important in our lives! All but two states are now reporting widespread flu activity, according to the CDC. "Widespread" means that more than 50% of geographic regions in a state -- counties, for example -- are reporting flu activity. It addresses the spread of the flu, not its severity.

"D" News Special Late night Edition........ “D” Journey Continues…….

Today I woke up like any other day, thankful and happy to be alive!!!! Ready to take on but yet, another adventure in D journey of Life....It's not like my life is so different from yours or anyone else's, we all have our trials and our adversities to face….Right? We all are trying to live our dreams, or have the desire to!  So, I drag d butt out of d bed….get dressed and head straight for…..yep you guessed it…..hahaha….You thought I was going to say “Starbucks” LOL (sticking my tongue out and making a funny face) it’s just COFFEE brewed at home, but it was Starbucks so you were half right “wink”

So, now I have d coffee in hand and I’m ready to tackle a few things….and that’s when I am investigating some news…..Now mind you, I’m making light of this now, because I have already incorporated my breathing, as I always tell you guys, “take a step back and breathe” well today I needed several steps back and several breaths LOL and I spent a good part of the afternoon consulting with an dear friend that I admire and respect….okay okay, it was more like a counseling session, but what are friends for…..plus they were the one who taught me my breathing technique, ”wink” LOL

Now, work with me…..if I had a video it would be far more entertaining, and a lot easier (coming soon) you know as soon as I get that Iphone 5 in operation, there’ll be no stopping D….and you thought the keyboard monster was scary, hehehe (she say’s with tilted head and raised eyebrows) So, you are going to have to work with me on this; Picture a 5’4 110 lb petite woman, all spit fire, ready to (((((((tear)))))) someone up!!!! (((((((sparks))))))) I kid you not were coming out of “D” Eyes……. You know “D” is mad when I no longer am interested in my coffee……Ut oh…trouble is brewing now!!

Well, one would think a good purpose in life would be to try and be kind and good to one another, to build one another up, right?  To encourage each other, pay it forward, pass it on.  I myself always believe in giving credit where credit is due....and never thinking or believing I'm better than someone else, or that I know everything, because no one knows everything!!!! And we are never above learning something new, I for one am no expert and for the most part I only share my life experiences, advice and all my trials and errors. Of course, that includes d daily ramblings……..

Now, with that said you know I consider myself pretty educated (School of Life) on a lot of different topics, hindsight being what it is and all…..and if you knew then what I  know now, you’d be all the wiser? Well, isn't that why we share, why we pay it forward, mentor, help in any situation or crisis….so that someone somewhere may not have to endure what we went through? Or so that we can teach them the survival skills we learned, so that they themselves can cope better with what they are going through? And all together we share what we know? We all gain and share our knowledge; to successfully make, meet those challenges one day one step at a time.

 Yes, yes it is….at least that’s what I know it to be, and that is what it’s all about!! I don’t have all the answers, and I imagine I never will, all I know is this; I am never going to give up trying, I am never going to quit, because quitters never win and winners never quit!!!! Some more great advice my dear friend gave to me years ago, sometimes you have to just push through, all the impossibilities and make the impossible, Possible!!!! But in the interim of it all, you have to be fair and honest and respect those around you! We live in the world not of the world, do not let this world consume you, or you will become of it and then you will lose your purpose…….Stay your course……focus…

God is all about Love and loving unconditionally, and forgiving. So let it go…..and for that reason alone is why, you may be a bit confused right now? Because the crisis that had me all upset this morning, was really not worth my energy, as I was reminded today that I am a great mother, grandmother, writer and friend and after hearing that……It kind of made all the morning drama just seem so trivial and pointless…because in reality it’s all about D journey and I won’t let anyone upset or get to me……

 And if along the journey someone has to borrow the spot light as there own, then go for it….it’s okay, as long as we all END UP at the Final Destination…….isn't that what its all about anyway….paying it forward…passing it on…….It’s time to stop with the childish games and grow up! My childhood and life was STOLEN a LONG TIME AGO!!!!!!! I will not allow others to rob my future with Petty nonsense, by allowing myself to be pre occupied by fear of what they my take from me. Everyone has a part to play, just play your part and let the Show go on! Or I could be flipped and say, get the heck off my stage…but I won’t, it’s not “D” but it sure is fun to say, hehehe, (that’s that little devil on d shoulder) jk…but for the record I have said nobody is perfect….lighten up, laughter is good for d soul….living to 100….any-who life is all about Love and giving and when we lose site of that we lose site of our mission…..

So, I’ll close with this, I may not make the world go round, but I’m going around the world my way, and if on the way I can stop and pay it forward then that’s D plan….so as I have said before, and you can count on it, that I’m going to say it again….and again….in some way shape or form……….

What??? I'm Not at the Beach in my bikini.....

"D" News from d home front...It's another beautiful Sunny day in Florida and I'm still wishing I were at D Beach....in my bikini working on D tan, but, I'm not :-/ Any-who, tonight my bestD and I are going to see our friend Lisa sing, and have some much needed, girls time out :)  You ever have one of those weeks, that just seem to never end? One thing after another, learning new stuff...etc.... Well, this has been just that....actually, it's been never ending months to say d least....but, every cloud has a silver lining? Hmmm.....I think I got that right? Oh, well you get d point...."wink" So, here's D thought for today:  Never be to busy to stop and take a moment from your busy day, to remember someone less fortunate, even if it's just to lend a helping hand, or a kind word, pay it forward!!! Even if your having a bad day, just take a break from your routine, step aside from what your doing, breaks up the monotony, just as easy as it is to get angry, it is just as easy to, stop and think before you speak....because as we know, there are always going to be people who are going to try and bring you down, ruin your day!!!! The old adage says; Misery loves company, But you are just going to have to SMILE :-) be the Bigger Person, Pray for them, because they know not what they do, and walk away, before you SMACK D CRAP out of them....JK...before they steal you peace, is what I meant to say!!! "D" News d news....Thinking too much (((((NO))))))

"D" News from d home front....well earlier this eve, I made my usual trip to Starbucks....and yes I was D Bubbly Girl....then I ((((((((NO)))))))) Yes.............boring............went to Walmart.........I know......big adventure......but here me out, I was thinking, I know pretty scary thought....LOL....I decided to make a homemade pie....but after carefully weighing D facts, thinking this through......D light bulb goes off :-/ hmmm do I even really want to do this, I'm probably not even going to eat it.....hmmm, still thinking....what a mess I'm going to have, hmmmm still thinking...geez I really can't even bake pies all that good anyway, hmmm, but it's fun to try new things, right? Mind you, I'm by myself, talking to d self....nothing new "wink" Now, standing in the baking Isle, looking all discombobulated, I give this some serious consideration, (tilted head and all) big (((((((sigh)))))) and within, all of about 10 seconds....LOL I grabbed D cart and I scoot over to the frozen section and I choose a Mrs. Smith's Pre~Baked Dutch Apple Pie.....and get this.....Just like I baked it myself, in 30 mins or less ;) and @ 11:53 PM tonight my house smelled like I had been baking for hours...but, I'm sure if you asked say.....Paula Deen, Yikes :-O she would be, Like shame on "D" :( and for the sake of good sportsmanship, one weekend soon grand-kids and all, I am going to attempt to bake a real apple pie...or any pie for that matter, but until then, will just have to wait till D next Big Adventure.....Just kidding.....or am I...probably not....LOL it's a curse!!! :-/ Oh well......Now, see what thinking too much started? Good Morning Everyone, Is it still morning? Well, I am running late as usual, this New Year has been quite D Adventure in Life already to say D least..............I'll make this quick, LOL, plus a few hehehe's, you know that's really almost virtually impossible, once d little fingers hit d keyboard...it's like a little keyboard monster just takes over my hands......and I can't stop :-/............and this is bad coming from me, cause I have D best willpower of anyone I know, I just have the gift of gab....well some would call it that, and some would say, motor mouth, and some mouth of D South (no pun intended) lol....either or....I'm ok with it...........it's me "D" Any-who, it's going to be a beautiful sunshiny day here in Florida, the temp is in the 80's, suppose to be all week......thank the Lord....I was missing all D Sunshine....I'm almost thinking Beach time.....So, I'm sending some Sunshine to all my Family and friends up North....Your w/me in spirit :)

Good Morning Everyone, I've had d coffee and I'm still dragging, I swear there's something about that "Starbucks" "wink" Any-who,  it's going to be a great day for all of us, try to enjoy your day no matter what or who brings you down, there will always be trials and hard times, it's part of life, we just have to play our part the best we can....It's all about making a difference!!! We live in the WORLD not OF the WORLD, and Life is frankly what we make it? And in D End, WE are all responsible for our own LIFE!!! Life is short and you only get one!!!!! Lord I know I sound like a broken record....or CD LOL, oh, CD is probably an outdated term too :-/ well, you get d point :) I'm trying to say, stop wasting your time on things that don't really matter....you can spend all day doing something, which has, none or little value, or you can spend fifteen minutes or an hour doing something that makes a difference in your world...look in your own back yard? (figure of speech) Get involved.....

There are a thousands things we could be doing, there are a thousand reasons one can give for doing nothing, but ONE REASON you can do something is because you CARE, because you LOVE, because GOD made US that WAY, So PAY IT FORWARD, ok feeling a little mushy, so it's time to go....need more coffee..... Live Laugh Love and Love some more....Love unconditionally as God Loves US.....It's simple....when you love there is no way you can hate....doesn't mean you won't get mad? Doesn't mean you won't be SAD, Yes you will, doesn't mean you won't get even, REALLY PISSED OFF, YEP AND THAT ONE ALSO, just means we will get over it, forgive, move on, not judge, and continue to love!!!!! "D" News Special Report: Attorneys mull new venue in Ohio football rape case

I am outraged once again....What is wrong with this COUNTRY!!! With the ongoing news of an Ohio rape case....First, the horror and trauma to be raped, then to have to be victimized by the social media in a public display, my prayers and deepest sympathy go out to the victim and their family. It is not for us to judge, as charges are alleged at this time....but for individuals to use poor judgement and make a public display and use social networks, when other human beings feelings are at stake, shows what a immoral desensitized society we are living in....

Can we say, Social media has come too far? When youtube or any Social NETWORK is used to Abuse, Victimize, or Bully any individual in anyway. Then YES, social media has gone too far....Technology was developed to help, improve, and to make our life easier, not to victimize, torment, disrupt, and destroy it. However, it does and sadly there will always be wrong doers, and people with bad judgement and no conscience's and we as a society, will never be able to stop it all!  But we can take steps to Unite together, to stop some, and to fight back. Remember for every one you stop, it's one less out there doing their wrong doings.......Every little effort we make together for any cause for the good, will help touch someone, somewhere, because WE as a SOCIETY have to unite! This country is out of control, I cannot reiterate this enough, what will it take, for Americans to wake up?  There is no sugar coating America any longer, We as a Nation have falling through the cracks, now is the time to use the technology we have before us, for good, as they are using it against us, so, shall we use it against them!!!! Eye for an eye.......

Now, many of you have done just that, and I applaud you! You give up countless hours, day and night, fighting for what you believe!!! Your voice is heard, you are paying it forward, one step, one day at a time, the messages are getting out there and making a difference!!!! There are many causes one can find to be a part of, whether it is, Victims rights, Breast Cancer Awareness, Diabetes, there are hundreds to say the least! And even if you can give one hour or ten, it is the effort you make, it's our combined joint effort together as a team!!!! You heard the saying "All the Worlds A Stage" Well, play your part, no matter how big or how small, it all counts!!!

 Our Life is the PART we PLAY, we can All Play our Role anyway WE want, and If every person would speak out, or do just one thing, for the good and right in this country, as much as people band together to fight for the unimportant, trivial, garbage that really doesn't mean anything? Really people it's just minutia....spend your time on things that matter, and put your trust back in GOD, and what was once, "A Great Nation Under God" maybe this country would NOT be where it is today!

It's simple....Love Unconditionally as God Loves Us!!! 3 Victims found Dead after Stand off in Aurora, Colorado

"D" News Special Report.....Another terrible tragedy takes the lives of innocent victims!!! I can't help but think, crime seems to be spiraling out of control, every time I turn on the News, someone somewhere is missing or killed!!! I think it's time we pay extra attention, and be aware of OURS and OUR LOVED ONES surroundings at ALL times!!!!! NO ONE IS EXEMPT from CRIME!!!! Anyone can be a VICTIM at anytime!!! I say this, because, we are now living in times that are Very SCARY!!!!! Economic times have brought on enormous stress to families, unemployment is at an all time high, putting people out of jobs, no jobs means, no money, no money can't pay bills, therefore leaving ANGRY, Upset, EVEN, Medicated, Confused individuals to say the least!!!! In today's economy there are more people on Food stamp assistant programs than ever reported in history!!!! More homeless people everywhere? What does this tell you? Tells me, our NATION is in trouble!!!! What you hear and see, is NOT always WHAT IT IS? Think? If if seems to good to be true, it probably is? I'll use the term "PEOPLE" loosely (if you catch my drift) People can tell you what ever you want to hear? Doesn't mean it's true!!!!! GAS Prices are on the rise again, that means more ANGRY PEOPLE.....Hey I'm just saying, Wake up, look around people.....Our crimes our becoming more Vicious and people seem to have no conscience? We, as a generation have lost our morals and values, remember those? They now seem to be a thing of the past, few and far between, and that my friends makes for a dangerous SOCIETY!!!!!!!! We have taken God out of our schools, we are afraid to stand up and speak for what we believe in our own Country!! Yet, most idly stand by and watch and say nothing while, things just keep changing all around them, and all they do is complain? "D" News from d home front...hope everyone had a great day! It's day 2 of d New Year...So what new resolutions have you made and stuck to? Yes you? LOL You know...D list you make of all the things you plan to do for 2013, all eager promising...Let's just say this...at least try and stick to ONE...Yes ONE!!!! If you accomplish one, then move on to # 2, cause the chance of you getting off 1 will be slim to none, if you know what i mean? And if you keep looking @ that LIST...LOL...anywho, my BIG RESOLUTION....is to NOT TO RAMBLE..."who said that" ? She looks over D shoulder...giggle giggle...ah...like that will ever happen...NOT!!! LOL "Wink" OK...moving right along to # 2 on my list...I can't tell you that one...YEP...cause "if I tell ya...blah blah..blah...I have to kill ya"....LOL I believe my son in law Gary started that one many years ago....(ty gary) hehehe...."wink"

Any-who my day was busy but good...I managed to find time and surprise my Grandson Corbin (13) at his bus stop...and take him to YEP....You guessed it....STARBUCKS :) Sorry Ocala...we sold you out...and went South today....I'm trying to give my grandson a part-time job in "D" news, to head up/Gamer's Corner, for all the X-boxers and Gamer's out there...you know for, like tip, and cheat thingies they do....I'm clueless when it comes to games....but Corbin is GOOD, and it's a great way for him to earn some extra cash $ while doing something he loves!!! But he actually want's D money first...LOL...I'm like Sorry been there done that, w/kids...I'm Like what's wrong w/this picture...What's D matter w/kids today??? It's "D" New Year New Beginnings.......2013

Happy New Year to all my family and friends!!!!! We did it.....We survived another year!!!!! As we say good bye to 2012 and welcome in 2013, we can look ahead towards new and wonderful things!!!! Some of us have suffered terrible losses...this past year. With the falling economy some of us have lost jobs, homes, cars, finances, all replaceable, but, some of us have lost loved ones, including myself. Death is never easy and the loss of a loved one is irreplaceable, the pain is unbearable for some, and unless you have gone through it, you just cannot understand!!! My heart goes out to you....and all I can say is this, that in time it gets a little easier, but it never really goes away!!!! And some days are harder than others, and then there are days its feels like it was yesterday!!! But we survive because we must, because we have to, then it's gets better....the days get a little easier bearable, and you start to believe you can and will survive for you as much as them....and for the ones that are left behind, you press on and you live the life, they would have wanted you too.....

So now I think....oh yes thinking again, is there any rhyme or reason to life in general or why things really happen the way they do, or to the people that don't deserve it? No, there isn't, it's just LIFE and Crap happens....you just have to remember, we live in the world, not of the world, and when we choose to allow ourselves to become desensitized, then we ourselves have reached a point of no return...it's okay to feel, it's okay to cry to have feelings, I think I have learned that even in losing someone we love so dearly, we have to not lose ourselves!!!!! We can have emotions without becoming emotional, to the point where we lose control for so long where it effects our health, and we no longer want to go on!!! Because trust me, when my sister died in May, I just wanted to give up and die myself...she was my lil Jo-ann my baby sister, whom I was suppose to spend the rest of my life with...our dreams...she was suppose to share my "D" News w/me....share our Golden Years together!!!!! GONE....WIPED OUT in the blink of an eye!!! Where does one begin to find the courage to let go of yesterday, and find the strength to press on? As I write this article the tears flood my eyes....I miss her so much, but I now know I have to press on, stay my course for her as much as me!!! I am learning it's not always about having what you think will make you happy, it's about finding happiness in what you have, and what you can improve about your life!

We are always going to be "US" we are never going to be someone else. It's really about coming to terms with yourself and loving yourself for who you are. If you need to do something than do it for you, not for someone else! I have held on far too long, thinking I can't go on, unless I have certain people in my life, and trying hard to keep them in it. In the end, if you are holding on and fighting to keep them in your life, it isn't meant to be. Things that are pure and real and have meaning in your life, you don't have to battle to keep. They just fit....they work themselves out...it all comes together in the end....So, you see, maybe we need to stop fighting ourselves and let go of the people and things that are holding us back.....

Sometimes, we put people up on a pedestal and rely too much on what they tell us, instead of trusting our own judgement. Their not our GOD....Or we are too busy trying to please everyone else and we lose ourselves in the interim. Sometimes you just have to say NO, doesn't mean you don't care...just means you need a little time for you too!!! In the end we may never find what truly makes us happy, but we must strive to find what gives US peace and calm...what I call a happy medium, then and only then, will you start to be happy, and when your happy and feel happy and live happy....the rest will take it's course....it's like a ship lost at sea....only to find her way home.......Some journey's take longer than others....and you may encounter many storms along the way, like the brave skipper, who battled the storm, if you want to make it out...you will find your way, this is YOUR JOURNEY TO TRAVEL.....and it's okay, some never reach their final destination till the very END, they just keep sailing on.....whatever your course may be....keep on sailing.........

 And in the end maybe....Just maybe, you'll find your HAPPY EVER AFTER!!!!! So, NEVER give up your DREAMS, YOUR DREAMS belong to YOU!!!!! Dream out LOUD and...DREAM BIG and Make this 2013 D BEST YEAR YET!!!!! Set some GOALS, start small, so you can stick w/them and watch the CHANGE you can BE in yourself...Anything is Possible when you have faith, trust God and BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I Believe Miracles Do come true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hard work...faith and God can take you anywhere you want to travel!!!!! God Bless and Be a Blessing!!!! You only Get ONE LIFE!!!!  Its going to be a busy week as it has been for D past few months and I want u all to know I'm thinking of you and your in my thoughts and prayers always!!! Now here's D thoughts and u thought u were getting off scot-free...sorry not 2/day ;) It's still about Living 2/100 and of course me loving you!!!!! Now just because it's Thanks Giving doesn't mean it's a license to EAT and DRINK all you want!!! Yes this time of year we all tend to do a little more of both, but just remember everything in moderation.... don't over do either one because, you will definitely pay for it the next days to come...so keep d tips in mind...it's

1. It's Okay if eat a tad bit more it's D Holiday and there will be lots of delicious foods... just remember to eat in increments through out d day...you'll have plenty of time during the day to nibble...socialize and gather with family and friends so eat slow and eat small amounts...you can always go back for more....

2. You may have to visit more than one family and or friend...so limit and pace yourself on your food and drinks.....it is not only dangerous to drink and drive if you are driving but you may lose your cheerful spirit if you have too much to drink and soon become a killjoy, and no one likes that....And remember when visiting it is polite to taste the food the host or hostess has prepared so leave room or you will find yourself busting from D seams of your clothes feeling very uncomfortable another Killjoy.....

Now I'm sure I could go on and on but you get D jest of D Holiday tips...Now Have a Very Happy Thanks Giving and Remember this For Christmas and News Years also or I'll be back rambling d same ole same because I Love You!!!!! Family Matters, Bonds For Life: Revised 11/05/12

"D" News: Family Matters, Bonds For Life: By Donna L. Maholage revised 11/05/12

Let's take a look at the word Family; the Webster dictionary defines family as  1. household  2. parents and their children 3. relatives  4. all those descended from a common ancestor; lineage 5. a group of similar or related things.

Now, bare with me for a bit and I will tie this together and show you another view on how you can look at family or what you may want to call family!

We really don't pick our family, this is something we are born into. It is a birth right and frankly some of us got a pretty raw deal. Now, even though we can't choose our family's, we most certainly can choose who we allow in our very close circle of what we call family!

Now, here is my version of family, people who you enjoy being in their company and know when you need them they are there for you. Opinions matter and advice is not to be looked upon as criticism. Conversation is a pleasure and there may be times when you will have to agree to disagree! Always, age is respected and give credit where credit is due. Age doesn't necessarily mean you have all the answers, it just means you may have learned a thing or two over the course of your life, hindsight is 20/20. In fact you may even learn a thing or two by engaging in healthy conversing.

If your biological or blended family make you upset or feel less than welcome, I say you need to step back and evaluate the situation. Unhappy feelings can lead to anger and depression, which is a vicious cycle. Now you have an unhealthy environment leaving your emotions in defense mode, and ultimately in a bad situation! If you have grandchildren never allow yourself to be emotionally blackmailed by your adult children. This can be an ugly situation and heartbreaking! Grandchildren should never suffer for adult problems.

Here's a solution that I personally have incorporated into my life. Who's to say there isn't a bright side to this story; if you have a circle of close friends or loved ones you have bonded with, then this can be your extended family, no matter how it may make others feel, it's your life that counts. This is especially true for older people who's children have forgotten about them or moved away. Your happiness and health are at stake and we all know when you feel loved you are more loving and basically this equals health and happiness! There are many experts that would agree, close bonds lengthen your life by boosting the immune system. Remember, you may also know someone that is in this very situation and if you have the opportunity to share a little love, just think how happy you can make someone! It is better to give than receive and the rewards are so much more!

Life is never going to be without it's complications or struggles or losses or even broken hearts...however when we have built relationships that matter, bonds for life sometimes it's the comfort of knowing that someone somewhere cares!!! And that makes it all worth it!!!!!! So here's "D" thought I leave you with.....

"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 NIV). ...

Anatomy of The Broken Heart

As medically needed to live and sustain life we need a heart, or we would seize to exist! Right? So, when it comes to the theory of a broken heart..I believe they are one of the same, when you try to explain the anatomy of the heart we know it functions in two's isn't this ironic?? There are two pumps in series (right and left sides), connected by two circulations, each pump equipped with two valves, the function of which is to maintain a one-way flow of blood...

Well, i can go on into the medical anatomy of the heart but tonight something hit me while studying when it comes to the heart it is always about two...as is Love.. Love is about two...two people that want to share a life or a series of events that make up a history..whether full time or part time it takes two people to make love happen...as it functions to sustain a healthy relationship it takes two! And usually flowing in the same direction as does the heart! Is this a coincidence or is it fate? We were made this way, not by chance but by Love again, hmmm has to do with the heart..I can't help to think? Yes, me the thinker...that none of this is an accident..no not at all..

It is exactly like the function of the physical heart, and when the heart fails so does life..and when a relationship fails so is a broken heart..as in both neither are easily repaired..and both take much work and effort to sustain..life will never be with out trials and errors as no one is sheltered from a broken heart, it's how do you learn to go on once the heart has been damaged and broken, how do you repair it with out great inner strength?

I do not have the answer to such a question I can only pray that in time as a surgeon carefully masters the operation of repairing the heart organ that one can grow to repair the damage of a broken heart and learn to heal that which is crucial to maintain a healthy balance in life... I can only believe that as God has carefully crafted "US" and given each and everyone of "US" the ability to Love and that he knew what he was doing when he created "US" and he will see "US" through no matter how badly we are broken no matter how much damage our hearts have sustained he will give "US" the courage and strength to go on!!!!

A broken Heart is not easily repaired and it suffers real true pain no matter what one might think or believe, but if you have ever been in Love or Loved deeply a mate a child or a friend, you would know this pain and you know the Anatomy now of a broken heart!!! To all the broken and wounded hearts out there I feel your pain..and I do believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel..never ever give up and believe in yourself to be healed! I love you....Living to 100 loving Sunshine always ;-) Live Laugh and always Love no matter what the cost...because I do believe it is better to have lived and loved than to have never Loved at all.... Living To 100 and Growing up....

I say this with much belief and commitment as if I know, know what you may ask? Know that I have the desire to want to live to 100. Oh yes I did say 100, I am 51 years old and it seems I have just woken up! Where was I all those years, how did I lose myself, where did I go? All honest questions and I'm sure I am not the first to ask them?

But one day it hit me all of a sudden, I was standing still while the whole world was passing me by! I thought everything was just fine, even though in the back of my head I knew, I felt something was terribly wrong. But I am exactly where God wants me to be, is what I would tell myself! Then again what if I am not, this went on for many many years...Then one day FB arose, that's when it hit me. It was as if a brick was thrown at my head, wow what a headache I got! The thinking began, too much thinking...Let me say without going into detail, which would be unfair. I do believe people have the right to defend themselves..so with that being said, I will move past all the hoopla of me not being happy! I realised I was still a child, not very grown up at all? I was frozen in time..living out the grown up life, but not really capable of making a grown up decision..smart yes..ok..my opinion..but a good one..lol. Had lots of knowledge on a variety of things..taking care of people, kids, grand kids, husband, everyone but me! Hey I can fix most appliances and know a lot about them? I can run an appliance store, sales, service, customer relations, But it's not the life I choose, I wanted so much more..I wanted to be a writer..a journalist..publish my novels..but I just disappeared..I took on someones vision of whom I should be. I am not saying that there were not good times, that would be a lie, I am not saying that I regret my life, I have 5 wonderful children and lots of grandchildren to show for it. But it wasn't the life I choose or feel God choose for me. I feel that was taken away, and I want a chance to have it back..

I allowed someone else to make all the decisions for me; to control me, and I was just as much to blame as they were. I now want to grow up and take my life back, I want to do all the grown up things I never did...I want to experience life.. I want to make my own choices whether right or wrong, or as many times as I may mess up I want to be in control of me...No, not a mid life crisis as you may think..and what if it is..its still my life? Okay, I get it, why all the drama you may be asking? Well, its because I am fighting good vs evil..or so I have been told..I have also had good friends tell me no such thing? So, who's right only God knows in the end..and if I am wrong then that's between me and my God.

For the most part I thought I was happy; I assumed all relationships were similar especially the religious ones! Now leaving out all the drama again that I would have to go into, and all the pain that has, and is still going on, of course by me thinking too much! I don't want to hurt anyone, I just want to live and be (me) happy, not someones version of what happiness is for me. If that makes any sense at all to you? I am fast forwarding so you don't get caught up in a whirl wind of a storm! Those that are close know the real true details, but its not even about that anymore, I have forgiven and am trying very hard to let go! However, it has gone way past that!

I have found peace in myself a true happiness that I didn't know existed, I like me I love me, I am not saying I don't love my family or my extended family, but I have to do whats right for me or I will never even come close to living to 100. This may sound selfish to some, as I have received much flack. The repercussions have been unbearably painful. There have been days I just want to throw in the towel...crawl into bed and stay there, but then a overwhelming feeling of sickness comes over me..and at that very moment I know the answer! I have to fight for what I want or give up, settle and most likely die young!

My heart breaks each and every day, knowing that I am hurting the ones I love, and the ones that love me! But there is not much I can do about it, and as God loves us all, each and everyone of us! He would no more want to see a child of his hurt and suffer, than any parent would theirs!
Living to 100 is a goal I must try to obtain, or die trying! I have missed so much of my life and have so many dreams, plans. Even if they seem unrealistic, they are mine and only mine! I feel like I have to hold on to something, or I will disappear! Some say you can still do all these things with out changing your life, I can't, I am not where I belong! My heart is gone it left a long time ago, and that I am so sorry for!

It seems I am sorry all the time anymore, and that is not fair to myself! If it were not for a very dear friend I would not have made it this far. I had become very ill over the past 5 months and already had asthma problems..which just exasperated the health issues.. I am just now gaining a few lbs and clinging to my life...I do love all my children and grand children and I do love my husband and have forgiven him..as I hope he can forgive me one day! I don't want to be enemies and I know that is unrealistic of me. I just want to live my life...is that really such a bad thing..I gave myself to my husband and my children and tried very hard to make the marriage last a life time..to death do us part! But now I am ready to move on...one doesn't change because they are forced to, they change because they want to! I gave 33 years patiently waiting and baring all I could..I am sorry if it wasn't enough, its enough for me. May I live to 100 to find what ever it is I am looking for and if I am wrong then so be it!

I make no apologies anymore to anyone, I shouldn't have to be sorry for wanted to live my own life! As much or as little that there is left..I don't want guilt or religion to try and convenience me of anything, I know in my heart what I want and need. I also know my God is a loving God and would not punish me for my choices in my life..with that being said I can now move forward..God Bless each and every one of my family and friends..and as much as some will curse FB and say it is the reason I am doing this...God speaks to us in many different ways..and reveals himself to us in ways we can't explain..FB was just a way to communicate..and express myself..so I thank you all for putting up with all the drama of my life...I thank those who always supported me and stood by me and continue to! Right or wrong this is my decision and only mine to make...love you all...living to 100

Following Your Passion and Letting Go

Gosh where do I begin..it's like the longest journey I have ever traveled! Following your passion; what does that really mean? I think from what I've learned over the years, it's doing what you love, and loving what you do! Unfortunately the choices in life we make can detour you from ever reaching that goal, and then when you try again....you can be opening the doors to something you were never expecting!

Yes, it is scary out there, frightening to try something that you never thought possible. Mostly because you had given up your dream! Dreams are what we live for aren't they? I know I don't want to leave this earth without making my mark and finding passion my passion! Not someones version of my passion. I know that sounds petty, maybe even selfish from some point of views, but really think about, who will even care? Not many even know you exist, yeah friends family but I want more...I want the big picture..I thought I had it, but I clearly see I never did! Sometimes we hold on to certain situations because that's all we know, whether good or bad, it's all you knew to be right. Then someone comes along, holds your hand and opens your eyes, now that's scary, seeing for the first time! I could only imagine; it would be like, being blind and suddenly one day your sight was restored....there would be so much to take in at once, you may overload and short circuit... but I am willing to find out. That's a decision I can live with, I want to live, I want to love, I want to be whole. I don't believe such things are possible without hurting someone somewhere along the line, but that responsibility I can't accept anymore. It's too much to carry around!

I think not following your passion and hearts desire, will surely kill you in the end. Death will be inevitable and you don't get a second chance at that! So, with this in mind I say let go..let go of what ever it is that holds you back, robs you, hurts you, and blinds you from the truth! A very dear friend once told me to follow my passion because I deserved it! I know I can and I will die trying.......

So much has been going on, really not enough hours in the day! My new adventure is Twitter, yep finally took the plunge and joined the world of twitter. Haven't a clue what I am doing, but I am sure it will work itself out. So, join me and twitter along, we can help each other.

We finally are getting a break in the weather and I am just loving it! I am a coffee lover so you can imagine what the cool weather does for that! Yummy, trying not to over load as I am working on a novel and don't want to over stimulate! Plus everything in moderation, everything and that includes coffee!

Back in the Saddle again...........

I'm off to a late start but back in the saddle again. The New Year has been slow with much to do! I am sure you can relate; the economy has been unpredictable and many are just keeping their heads above water, with all the unemployment and layoffs occurring daily it is hard to know what to do.

We have recently had our son leave for college and are very proud, but at the same time praying that he stays there. As far as the economy goes college seems to be the best place to be for now! I will say this was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, the emotional state is just overwhelming! I was never so happy, proud, sad, all at the same time in my life! I have had children in college before but not quite the same thing. This was our first son officially off to his future, and the task was all but overwhelming. We drove him up to Macon GA to Mercer University and then after a short visit had to return home without him........... Happy to say he had a tournament four days later, so we drove back up to see him. He got a partial wrestling scholarship and talk about getting in shape with only three days to prepare! Well, he did it and with the help of his awesome coach Kevin Andres, he managed to pull it off! Now he is ranked eleventh in the Nation as of this week and took first place in the GA state championships winning his weight class! Not too bad for just getting there. I must say the excellence in College coaching is refreshing!

Well, I will keep you all posted and have several articles in the making so please stop back and check in. I promise I am going to make more frequent visits myself to post. I just want to add we have a Senior this year whom will be hopefully leaving for college in August! Yes, also a Wrestler, so keep us in your prayers. Remember, God never gives us more than we can handle, sometimes that doesn't seem like so, but trust in the Lord and let him direct you in all you do!

Remember the Reason for the Season!

I take this opportunity to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! With economic times at the worst our Country has seen in decades; let's all remember the reason for the season.
Luke 2: 8-14
Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. "And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger." And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and Saying: "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"

So, with this in mind I close by saying, "Make this Christmas the most wonderful day of all, and not just on Christmas but everyday show your love and good will and ask God to make you every mindful of the needs and wants of others. As with families everywhere we may not have much but with Christ we have it all!

I am thankful for my family and want them to know "How very much they are Loved"

News From The Home Front

Wow, where does time really go; it has been so long since I was able to sit down and write! From school ending to school beginning it's like I lost half a year! Not to mention our High School graduate decides he's ready to be on his own. I now have a wayward child, I never thought I would be saying that in a million years! I know we all have to cut those apron strings eventually, but with three offers to University's and scholarships; I think he was heading in that direction anyway. Unfortunately he is in love, and his judgement is greatly impaired! So, hopefully he will be leaving for college this August and come to his senses. My husband and I love him dearly and only want what is best for him, however, he will have to figure this one out for himself. We will be here for him and know that God is watching over him. Now, don't let me forget we have one left, he will be a senior this year and we will have to wait and see where that goes. Plans are college and sports for the most part.

Well, if the past months haven't been busy enough, and when I say busy I'm not kidding! My husband got seriously ill and landed in the ER on Monday July, 21, 08; he needed immediate surgery for a Sigmoid Colon Obstruction, which the surgical procedure is; repair of incarcerated left Inguinal Hernia. Yeah, that's what I said, and the recovery in his case is slow do to the fact his potassium levels where dangerously low on admittance. He is now home recovering and trying to do too much already. I think the eight days he spent in the hospital weren't enough!

Hey, life throws you a curve ball and all you can do is throw it back! I know because I have faith and God is true to his word, we will all be fine. Keep your faith for times are trying for everyone; and sometimes when it seems there is no way out, lean not on your own understanding and know that he is God!

One of my favorite verses in the bible is Proverb 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths".

Family Matters, Bonds for life

Let's take a look at the word Family; the Webster dictionary defines family as a 1. household 2. parents and their children 3. relatives 4. all those descended from a common ancestor; lineage 5. a group of similar or related things. Now, bare with me for a bit and I will try and bring this together and show you another view on how you can look at family or what you may want to call family!

We really don't pick our family, this is something we are born into. It is a birth right and frankly some of us got a pretty raw deal. Now, even though we can't choose our family's, we most certainly can choose who we allow in our very close circle of what we call family!

Now, here is my version of family, people who you enjoy being in their company and know when you need them they are there for you. Opinions matter and advice is not to be looked upon as criticism. Conversation is a pleasure and there may be times when you will have to agree to disagree! Always, age is respected and give credit where credit is due. Age doesn't necessarily mean you have all the answerer's, it just means you may have learned a thing or two over the course of your life, hindsight is 20/20. In fact you may even learn a thing or two by engaging in healthy conversing.

If your biological or blended family make you upset or feel less than welcome, I say you need to step back and evaluate the situation. Unhappy feelings can lead to anger and depression, which is a vicious cycle. Now you have an unhealthy environment leaving your emotions in defence mode, and ultimately in a bad situation! If you have grandchildren never allow yourself to be emotionally blackmailed by your adult children. This can be an ugly situation and heartbreaking! Grand children should never suffer for adult problems.

Here's a solution that I personally have incorporated into my life. Who's to say there isn't a bright side to this story; if you have a circle of close friends or loved ones you have bonded with, then this can be your extended family, no matter how it may make others feel, it's your life that counts. This is especially true for older people who's children have forgotten about them or moved away. Your happiness and health are at stake and we all know when you feel loved you are more loving and basically this equals health and happiness! There are many experts that would agree, close bonds lengthen your life by boosting the immune system. Remember, you may also know someone that is in this very situation and if you have the opportunity to share a little love, just think how happy you can make someone! It is better to give than receive and the rewards are so much more!

"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 NIV). ...

Tragedy Strikes home

Good morning,

Unfortunately not for some, over the weekend a tragic car crash claimed the lives of five young men from our hometown. This has hurt the community greatly as these boys were Wrestlers and athletes and very popular! Our family personally crossed paths with two of the boys on the wrestling circuit. As investigators are still looking into the exact cause, it appears alcohol and high speed have played a part in what was an horrific crash. The car (2008 BMW M5 sedan which belonged to one of the boys fathers, was traveling north on the 1.5 airstrip that actor John Travolta and others regularly use to fly in and out of Ocala.


One of the boys was celebrating his 19 birthday; witnesses say they were coming from a party where alcohol was served. It is still unclear how the young men got onto the airstrip which is on private property. Nothing has not been determined yet as there in an ongoing investigation. My heart and prayers go out to all the families!

This is exactly the kind of situation that making a wrong choice, paid the ultimate price, they lost their lives! Hopefully others will learn from their mistake and make better choices. Each and everyone of us, will face a choice, that can cost dearly. Use common sense and wisdom and lean not on your own understanding and trust in God.

Sarcasm

Are your words doing more harm than good?


Let’s see, sarcasm better known as a taunting, sneering or mockery! Most always at someone else’s expense. Oh, one would say I’m just playing around I don’t mean anything by it! Our words are extremely powerful and capable of doing great harm. Words or behavior intended to make somebody or something look silly or ridiculous are wrong. We should be trying to lift one another up, not looking for ways to tear each other down.

Unfortunately this nature lies within a lot of us, unknowingly doing harm unintentionally. Do you ever find yourself on the receiving end of a snide remark? Just waiting to fire back and let them have it! Yes, we are human and it takes great restraints to ignore such comments! I’m not saying that words if used delicately couldn’t lighten up a tense situation, even bring laughter to an uncomfortable moment. But we must examine our reason for being sarcastic, and remember words are powerful and can impact someone for life! Remember the old saying “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.”

Well, sad but true most people do not practice this principal and words are used as daggers every day. You can take the spirit right out of someone by just the utterance of a few words! Or you can build them up and leave them smiling! The choice is ours, and if we think, before we speak we can make a difference in such a changing immoral society! Turn on the television they are promoting sarcasm, the entertainment world thrives on it. Believe it, it is big business and we fall prey to it everyday. Therefore leaving us vulnerable and programmed by what we watch and let our children have access to. Children today are more sarcastic in their everyday life than years ago. Not so surprising when television is a babysitter. This holds true for adults as well, it seems to becoming the norm in households! This is a conscious effort we have to make everyday to coven ourselves accordingly and practice, to think before we speak. Even the bible has a lot to say about our words. Let’s look at Proverbs 17:28 “Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; when he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.”

There we are back to the old saying, “if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all” We should work hard at being considerate of others, treating them the way we want to be treated and remember to choose our words wisely! We are as much as what we do, as what we say! Our Words should be that of affirmation! I leave you with this thought!
Proverbs 15:23 Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time!

Grilled Zucchini
This recipe serves: 4
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes

Ingredients
2 medium zucchinis, sliced lengthwise about 1/2 inch thick
2 teaspoons olive oil
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste

Cooking Instructions
1. Preheat the grill to medium.
2. Brush the zucchini slices with the olive oil on each side. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
3. Grill until tender, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. To serve, cut the slices on the diagonal into thin strips.

The Holidays Are Over!

Hi everyone, yes I am alive and well! Thanksgiving and Christmas were a drain, not too mention our boys have a heavy Wrestling Schedule this time of year. We are gone a lot, and spend quite a few weekends out of town on tournaments.

Well, things are beginging to wind down in the season of Wrestling, so hopefully I can get things back in the swing, okay let's just say get back on track! This Blog is a work in progress, as I am and I want to thank all my valued readers for coming back and being patient!

I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Let's see a great 2008 in our futures! May this year bring new and interesting changes and blessings to all. Stay tuned for new and upcoming articles, and Bits and Pieces!

Let it Go!

Are you holding on to grudges; ill feeling for something that was said or done to you? You feel betrayed, hurt? Let it go, or it will destroy your inner being! Did you ever pay attention to how you really feel? It's awful, and you feel sick inside, your first instinct is to retaliate. You want them to feel as awful as you at the moment! So, let me tell you from experience never react on those feelings, take a moment and try to reflect on the whole issue. Try and remember treat others the way you want to be treated! No matter how much it hurts, because in the end it will hurt you more. Think about this for a second; the other person may not even care about what has happened or how you feel; they my friend are going about their every day life, without even giving you so much as a thought! However; you inside are being torn up, health wise, this isn't a good thing. Anger will consume you, Let it Go! Look in your heart for Love! It's medicine for the soul. Let me share these awesome scriptures with you, now don't go no where! :)

Do to others as you would have them do to you. Luke 6:31

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Now, there are no other words I could say to help you understand why! We just need to know that someone knows better, and we should open our eyes to see, and ears to hear! Even for the non believer; if for no other reason, than to have something that teaches decency, then that, should be reason enough for you, for now, that is! Mark 8:36 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?

The Value of Life?

Did you ever just wonder how much time you really have here on this earth? I have, and maybe, if we would give that question just a little more thought, we would have more answers! Life in the end is really what you make it, you make choices, and then you live with them. Some choices have pretty hard consequences, and you can't go back and undo them. All you can do is make the future better. That is why, you can never give up, there is always something you can do to make your life count. And when you have a family, it is family first! Make your time with them, not the world, so many are concerned with living of the world, instead of in the world. Things; will consume you, and then your life! And when that is gone you are gone! And all you will leave are memories, and memories have a way of fading away, so, make yours count. Put value to your life!

Now, when you are young you seem to think of time as a friend, something that will always be there. And when you get older, you realize time really does just slip away! Wow, what impact, time really does just slip away. Like, here today gone tomorrow. My husband and I lost a very dear friend and business associate this year! And we were devastated, it was so sudden, we could hardly believe he was gone. And all the time, he knew the way he was living, was killing him. Now, ask me if he really cared? Sure he cared, but not enough to do anything about it, and for years he could have. He leaves behind a wife, daughter and two grandchildren. And, they are the ones now left with the memories he created for them, and as sad as I am to say, he could have tried a little harder, I can see the pain he left behind! The hurt, he can't take back, it's too late, he didn't value life enough to care! And I know I don't want to be my friend, that is why I write stuff like this, yeah, some might say it's rambling I say it's a voice, and if I can leave even a small impact on even one person, than to me it was worth it. Some fellow writers say; time is money and I am wasting my time, but I say No! I'm not! People search all there lives for answerer's, and if we would all share and mentor to one another, maybe we could bridge those gaps and focus on family again, moral values, helping one another, things that really do matter. Not how much money you can put in the bank, or how big a house you can live in. What good are all those things, if what matters the most is lost. A world without warmth, love, compassion. I get up everyday, say a prayer; thank the Lord that he gives me another day here on Earth! And believe me when I say, I have to work hard at trying to live in a world that test you every morsel of your soul. For the most part :), I have learned to have faith, to close my mouth, and trust in God, We try not to judge, as there is only one true judge of the world, but let me tell you, it's a journey! One, I know I will travel indefinitely, and hope to gain strength as I go! I want to make my life count; I want to leave a mark, something that my God and family would be proud of! So, make your life something you Value, make it count! You’re worth it, and so is your family! We are all family, wasn't it God who said we are all Brothers and Sisters? Talk to you soon!

Kids What's the Matter With Kids Today

I know this isn't going to go over well for some, but sorry to hurt a few feelings. Enough is enough, our children are falling through the cracks. And it's just getting worse with every generation. Parents need to take back their control and start acting like adults and stop being cowards. There is no room for coward ism, when it comes to parenting. Stand up for what you believe. Set your standards, and don't let anyone make you think you have to lower them.

So, let me say as nice as I possibly can.................................................Sorry.....................................

Parents, that's what's the matter! As a mother of five and grandmother, working hard every day to make sure my kids grow up to be the best they can! Well, that has been the hardest job I have every encountered from flipping burgers, cleaning houses, and assisting my husband for 27 years in his business, raising children by far takes the most effort and hard work of all. Of course, this is my opinion, and I am sure, many Mom's and Dad's out there, that are doing their job, can agree to most of my statements. In order to raise productive loving kind, respectful, considerate children, you have to put some effort and hard work into it.

The way I see it, children for one don't come with a handbook, and a lot of what we do is trial and error. And only the final outcome will tell the results. So, it's our job to make the best effort possible we can. And gosh today with more mother's working and children in day care, there just is a lack of good parenting. Parents for the most part don't want to parent, it's too hard, you get to much resistance, and it's much easier to just give in. And I'm afraid that won't cut it, your family is not some movie you can rewind and fix all the wrongs. Your human, your going to make mistakes, but not trying to make your best effort , that's a mistake you can't take back.

We as parents have to set an example and be good role models for our kids. We are the main ingredient to their success! We have to always keep in mind that we are not here to be our children's best friend. And it's okay if they don't like us all the time, it just means we are doing our job. There will be plenty of time for friendship later. Our children are a gift from God, and it's our duty to raise them up right! There are many scriptures on discipline, and God knew what he was doing from the begining. It was man that decided to mess things up. For example: Poor leadership causes laxity, Exodus 32:25; He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly, Proverbs 29:15, Correct your son, and he will give you rest; Yes, he will give delight to your soul, Proverbs 29:17

Now don't get me wrong this isn't as easy as it sounds, infact it can be quite the challange at times. I am having a challange as we speak, however I am learning over the many years of raising children that we are never too old to learn! And if we stay true and have faith, I do believe it will all turn out fine. Thank you for reading, and letting me share with you. Slow day.............

Good afternoon everyone!

Today has been slow, not much happening at the home front, I am planning on trying out a cool dish for dinner, nothing special, actually pretty simple, but looks fancy! It's a pasta dish, a little Vermicelli, add the veggies, meat and sauce of your choice and not to shabby! I'll let you know how it turns out!

Heres a recipe for the microwave Peanut Butter fudge, I thought you would all enjoy!

2/3 cup butter, 2/3 cup chunky pb, 6 cups powdered sugar 1/3 cup milk, 1 tbsp vanilla

put pb and butter in large bowl, micro until butter melts about ( 1 1/2 to 2 minutes); stir until well mixed, stir in rest of ingredients until lumps disappear. Microwave until softened but not bubbly. (1 to 1 1/2 minutes); stir, pour into butered 8 inch pan, cover and place in fridge at least 1 hour. Cut into squares, store in fridge.

Tips on How to Parent

Parenting Tips

Today I will be talking from experience and sharing some tips I have learned in my journey of raising children. And currently still raising two teenage boys! Yeah, I know when it comes to teenagers, one might say where did my sweet little child go, it's like aliens came down and snatched them right out of here! Well, don't feel bad I think most everyone out there with teenagers could agree at one point or another.

I think of my teenager as a flower, one who needs plenty of sunshine, water and TLC! Now, the problem with this is getting them to agree, the things I do are in their best interest, and mom and dad really do know what's best!

This is where it gets tricky, teenagers tend to believe they know everything, come on, we were once there ourselves. Now, with the advantage of hindsight we should be intuitively keen, assuming we are on top of things. So, with this in thought think before you speak, balance out the playing field. Let the ball be in their court, talk out the conflict instead of battling them. Arguing or being defensive never works, been down that road! And on occasions have traveled back. We all want to be the winner in an argument and face it, someone has to loose but, if careful both can be winners.

Today is even harder then ever to raise children, we battle an array of diversities! Due to an overindulged society and a lack of good parenting; too many are looking for a quick fix, and frankly don't want or have the time to deal with it. Thus leaving children to raise themselves, and lord knows I have issues with that. It makes me so mad, I could literally stay on this subject for ever! Well, back to a few good tips:

1.) Always think before you speak.........

2.) If handing out a punishment; make sure the punishment fits the crime!

3.) Try compromising as long as you are not lowering your standards & beliefs.

4.) Set boundaries and limits.

5.) Say what you mean and mean what you say.

6.) Encourage friends to hang out at your house; where you can keep an eye on your children.

Now, remember there are no assurances and quick fixes and sometimes we just mess up! But with common sense and wisdom and a little hard work your kids are most likely going to be just fine. Now, this is just my opinion and God knows I have had lots of experience on the subject of children and continue to learn everyday. Keep your faith and God Bless!

Put on a Happy Face

Our face is like the window to our soul. When we carry a frown we tend to be sad and down, most likely to anger. But when you smile and try to look on the bright side of things, it is pretty hard to be mad! I'm not saying a smile is going to fix everything but, it can't hurt! It is like energy for your soul. Just as we need food to survive we need Peace to live! NKJV 2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

Now, it does take a conscious effort to accomplish this, especially when your three year old just spilled a bottle of juice all over the kitchen floor.....or your teenager just slammed the door and it was like a Tornado just passed through! It's hard I honestly know. I am a work in progress but, I am learning Smile......It will open the door to your heart. Believe me when I say this, been there done that; and might I add, hindsight is 20/20. So, remember if at first you don't succeed try try again.
