Double this...double that...double double dis dat!!!
Really??
Round and round we go again...it's like, "Would you like your paycheck SUPER-SIZED?"
C'mon, let's be rational, there has to be a fair and balanced medium for both the workers and the employer...or everything will be thrown into a tail spin....
This is an (unrealistic) figure for jobs of this skill level...Let me reiterate from my previous article....jobs with degrees and certifications, don't even start at at $15.00 hr.. Let's get real people....if you want a better paying job, get a better education!!!!
In my opinion, $15.00 hr., is not going to happen....and should not happen!!! But...if it does, I may be looking for a new job...along with a lot of other people...LOL

Police arrest one suspect, seek another after World War II veteran dies following parking lot beating
"D" Speaks out....
My deepest condolences go out to the family...
In a Fox News Alert they said; "Friends identified the victim as 88-year-old Delbert Belton, and say he was sitting outside a lodge for the Fraternal Order of the Eagles when he was attacked."
Delbert Belton was another (tragic victim) of our fallen society. To live 88 years, survive World War ll, then to have to (lose) his life after being brutally beaten, because some punks decided its your time to die!!!
Like WHO, OR WHAT the HELL, gives another human being the right to take a life?
Maybe...just maybe, it's time for a {REALITY} check?
Is it Gang Violence....
Is it Drugs.....
Is it Violent Video Games...
Our youth our becoming desensitized!!!! They are becoming numb to everyday life!
It's not just one factor, its an accumulation of things, from the violent video games they play, to the drugs they put in their body...to the role models before them...
Take a look at todays role models that let them down....
e.g., Baseball players taking performance enhancing drugs, Athletes committing murder, Parents, Teachers, Clergy, inappropriately touching of minors...abuse, I can go on and on...
These are who our children look up to, people of esteem!!! There is no end to the mayhem that is now taking place all over this (WORLD!!!)
The elements are all here for a "Perfect Storm" you now have to consider every element of socialization as {WE} knew it hardly exist...kids don't play anymore, they don't call each other on the phone, they text, they chat, they use social media for their daily gatherings, to say the least....a dead society! And fun consists of partying drugs and alcohol!!!
It's as though they are being brainwashed by the very things we have created to make our world a better place....something called (technology), which inevitably will destroy the world as {WE} know it!
We teach racism, when we should teach love and equality, but yet we mock one another....
No one is truly happy when someone is successful. We applaud them to their face, and behind their back, whispers are saying (yeah what did they do to deserve that, or get there.)
The people rip off the government and the government rips off the people!!! It's a double edge sword that is bleeding this county dry!!!
And United We Stand Divided We Fall....thats a lost motto!! So, in reality the entire WORLD is effected!!!!
We've created a society of
lifeless humans!!!!

"Dr. Phil's controversial tweet was incredibly ill-conceived, but alcohol, sex and consent are essential topics"

Really Dr. Phil...
One might say, a bit out of character, but, then again no ones perfect....
I cannot reiterate this enough, I just recently voiced {my} opinion on this very topic of "Girl" vs "Woman" over the recent conviction of former New York Yankee, "Chad Curtis," who was convicted of touching underage girls.
When will society learn the difference between a Woman and a Child!!!!
It infuriates me to hear someone (speak) so loosely. Choose your words wisely and show consideration for others. It disrespects both woman and children.
Let's recap: The definition of girl:
1) A girl is a female child!!!!
2) A daughter: our youngest girl.
There is no negating this fact!!
C'mon Dr. Phil "Shame on you!!!" The topic is a much needed one, but the choice of words was in extreme poor taste! "If a girl is drunk, is it OK to have sex with her? Reply yes or no to @drphil #teensaccused.” (Which was removed shortly after)
That kinda shocked the nation....I guess even "Dr. Phil" found out how easily it is to get caught up in society's lax undisciplined way of speaking...
Society has become so lax and loose lipped, that we don't give any real thought to the words and their meaning, that we utter from our mouths..
Food for thought:
Maybe in the future, we should think before we speak...it's been said....
"Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another."

For the subject of Sex and Alcohol....that's a topic all of its own...
My rule of thumb...
Adults:
Don't drink and drive?
Don't have sex, when you or your partner is inebriated?
Children: be children ❤
Parents: Grow up!!

Sinkhole causes partial collapse of Florida resort villa
Resort only minutes from Walt Disney World attraction in central Florida...
"The sinkhole, which is in the middle of the villa, is about 40 to 50 feet in diameter"
Thank God everyone escaped and no one was reported injured....
Sinkholes can be deadly, and have caused massive destruction like this one has...
As people choose to build and live, or visit the sunshine state, which is commonly known for its issues with sinkholes....
They may or may-not be familiar with Florida's history of sinkholes and why they happen?
I know I wasn't, I was (SHOCKED), when I learned about them. I actually learned from a personal experience on a much smaller scale, but never the less, fearful that my home was going to be devoured, by this ever growing (HOLE)!!
I was fortunate, my sinkhole was caused by a man made drainage system, (Easy fix)...but now I wonder what else is buried out there?
I later investigated and learned, by a contractor (off the record),
that in order to save money ($) on construction sites...it has been known that, land clearing companies dig gigantic holes, bury all the debris, cover them with massive amounts of dirt...
Years later......the buried debris, rots (ALL GONE) Hmmm......possible cause of some, unexplained, sinkholes? This can also be explained as a "Subsidence Incident"
"Buried trash, logs and other derbies (CAN CAUSE SINKHOLES)"
These practices are wrong and illegal and state and county have regulations regarding such removal of debris...
"Therefore, this is not just a Florida issue.... sinkholes....can have other (rooted) problems."
Today I spoke with "Mike" from "Integrity Land Clearing Inc." of Ocala, Florida,http://www.excavatingocala.com/
I briefly filled him in on my inquisitive concerns on debris being buried, and the connection of sinkholes...
and "My" previous source giving up information, (buried debris) and now with the (MASSIVE) sinkhole at Summer Bay Resort Villa in Florida, I guess my inquiring mind just had to know....
So, I asked his opinion, as to whether the burying of debris can cause sinkholes?
He confirmed...."Yes, this can cause sinkholes, and No, your not allowed to bury debris on property sites!!!"
Okay, so we've learned today, that we can solve one of our sinkhole issues...
For one, when clearing land or building anywhere, in any state, hire a "reputable" company and visit the site often...
Florida does have a common history for sinkholes and this link will provide you with important facts...

So, with that being said.....
I would like to believe someone knowingly, would not contribute to the cause of sinkholes....

"D" NEWS: GEARING UP.....POWER JAMS.........
"D" News from d home front....
Gearing Up......?
Hello everyone, I'm sorry I've been slacking, I've been busy these days!! Finished up w/Continuing Education Units) aka/CEU, among other things, plus it doesn't help that I waited till the last few months to get them done, :-/ but it's all good...
I've been recovering from a serious sprained ankle, ugh and it's taken me off d track for over a year....but in d interim I've done double duty in "d car", in d bed, just about anywhere, even in d check out lane (giggle giggle) yeppers, that's me one of the "Walmart People" LOL Jk
Now, back to D business of living to 100, I sure hope you all are paying attention to what your eating? (Clearing D throat) "wink" "wink" and exercising?? (Clearing D throat again...
I know your making good healthy food choices, with occasional snacking :-) And, of course your exercising, or at least shaking your butt from time to time? Amuse me peeps, we all know you have time for exercise...."wink" (yeah right!!) :-/
My all time favorite is "D" car aerobics I do exercise in D car, imagine that? ;)
Just ask my kids, and grandkids, car rides w/Nana are a trip, between d exercise and d singing, and all of us talking!!! I have (NO CLUE) where they could've picked that up from :-/ lol....
Oh, and did I mention d pit stops at "Starbucks" that's right.....can't forget that Happy time!! :-)
Now, on a more serious note....

and my idea isn't rocket science, it is a widely known business by fitness professionals, recommend by doctors and practiced by health enthusiast like myself world wide!! ❤
If you want to be healthy you have to live heathy, and this includes not only the food you eat, but the lifestyle you live, a sedentary lifestyle will do you no good, but harm!
Phew!!!!!!!!!
So, with that being said, always practice safety first, and check with your doctor, or healthcare provider, before starting any new exercise routine...
These simple techniques can be done anywhere, anytime...I've been doing them for decades....we all know d doesn't care what others think :-/
So, whether in d car or on d track or in d living room....
I've incorporated "D"s own version of D fitness "wink" It works for "D" and if you want it to, it'll work for you! ❤
Any-who, one version of "D"s Fitness is D "Power Jams" ....(for d tummy) Whether sitting or standing you can always find time to Power Jam :-)
Just suck it in, remember the old saying "tuck it in the bucket," well same thing....just suck in your tummy, and hold!!! Hold it there for as long as you can to start, every second counts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5....now let it out and breathe.....you got this, then repeat, d rest will follow.....
See....that was EASY!!!
It's not like you need to run a marathon or workout 5 days a week, if you can that's great!! But you gotta move people, you can't be sedentary!!!!

Start by adding a daily walking routine to your schedule, or the next time your shopping, walk that shopping cart back to its drop off spot at the grocery store!
And STOP circling around the parking lot, praying for a front row space to open up, hmmm sound familiar?
Just park in the back so you have to WALK, now theres a novel idea :) All those little steps throughout D day add up!!
And don't forget "D" car aerobics, that's (my) favorite!!! (Power jam in d car) Some of us spend a lot of time commuting back and forth in our cars, whether to work or just chauffeuring your kids around, or running daily errands! Whatever d case, car aerobics can be just the trip for "YOU" to tone up and shed some unwanted lbs...
So, gear up and put your favorite music on and power drive, I do it all d time!!! (thank d lord for tinted windows) well, my daughter says, "they're not that tinted MOTHER!!!!!" LMBO Like I really care...giggle giggle....
Okay....Safety first....Never put yourself or others in danger....
"You can do them at stop lights and stop signs"
Any-who, I suck that tummy in while I'm driving and I hold it in, for as long as I can, and I repeat, repeat, repeat along with my crazy banter and singing...."wink"
It's sure to give you an awesome "WORKOUT"

Gearing Up......?
Hello everyone, I'm sorry I've been slacking, I've been busy these days!! Finished up w/Continuing Education Units) aka/CEU, among other things, plus it doesn't help that I waited till the last few months to get them done, :-/ but it's all good...
I've been recovering from a serious sprained ankle, ugh and it's taken me off d track for over a year....but in d interim I've done double duty in "d car", in d bed, just about anywhere, even in d check out lane (giggle giggle) yeppers, that's me one of the "Walmart People" LOL Jk
Now, back to D business of living to 100, I sure hope you all are paying attention to what your eating? (Clearing D throat) "wink" "wink" and exercising?? (Clearing D throat again...
I know your making good healthy food choices, with occasional snacking :-) And, of course your exercising, or at least shaking your butt from time to time? Amuse me peeps, we all know you have time for exercise...."wink" (yeah right!!) :-/
My all time favorite is "D" car aerobics I do exercise in D car, imagine that? ;)
Just ask my kids, and grandkids, car rides w/Nana are a trip, between d exercise and d singing, and all of us talking!!! I have (NO CLUE) where they could've picked that up from :-/ lol....
Oh, and did I mention d pit stops at "Starbucks" that's right.....can't forget that Happy time!! :-)
Now, on a more serious note....

and my idea isn't rocket science, it is a widely known business by fitness professionals, recommend by doctors and practiced by health enthusiast like myself world wide!! ❤
If you want to be healthy you have to live heathy, and this includes not only the food you eat, but the lifestyle you live, a sedentary lifestyle will do you no good, but harm!
Phew!!!!!!!!!
So, with that being said, always practice safety first, and check with your doctor, or healthcare provider, before starting any new exercise routine...
These simple techniques can be done anywhere, anytime...I've been doing them for decades....we all know d doesn't care what others think :-/
So, whether in d car or on d track or in d living room....
I've incorporated "D"s own version of D fitness "wink" It works for "D" and if you want it to, it'll work for you! ❤
Any-who, one version of "D"s Fitness is D "Power Jams" ....(for d tummy) Whether sitting or standing you can always find time to Power Jam :-)
Just suck it in, remember the old saying "tuck it in the bucket," well same thing....just suck in your tummy, and hold!!! Hold it there for as long as you can to start, every second counts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5....now let it out and breathe.....you got this, then repeat, d rest will follow.....

This is a serious crime and is taking place all around the country. I personally after watching the video, know I have on occasion left my doors unlocked!
I have left my belongings visible, in (my) car rushing about!
I will no longer do this, I will not become a (VICTIM), I WILL NOT give these bastards, that are obviously, smart enough to think up these scams...but, too LAZY to go work, (my) hard earned money!!!! And neither should (YOU)!!!!!
I worked all (my) life, I paid (my) dues to society, I'm still paying (my) dues, and I'm sure, most of you would agree, so lets not make it easy for these LAZY THIEVES to rip US off!!!!

As I Watched the video of The Cleveland House of horror getting torn down, I felt a sense of relief for those girls...
One can only imagine the HORROR they endured those HORRIFIC 10 years they were held prisoners in that HELL!!
All that they had missed, while captive in a cold dark prison, tortured, and not sure when their life would end...while life passed them by...
That "HOUSE OF HORROR" stole 10 precious years of their lives! Its gone, gone from existence, gone from this WORLD!!!! Like the nightmare he made them live!!!
Now they have sent that HOUSE back to HELL where it belongs!!!! And the Monster is in prison, captive where he belongs....?
"Or maybe, he should have been in that house and gone straight to HELL WITH IT!!!!??"
Now these girls can finally awake from their nightmare, and truly begin to put this horror behind them....
The DEMOLITION of this house is one GIANT STEP in their continued recovery, as they will have to fight hard to put the pieces back together, one day one step at a time...
And with the continued support of family, friends and community, they will be able to do just that....
We should be so proud of these girls, and their undying courage to survive such an ordeal.
Not only did they survive, but they came forth to speak out and tell their story. They ARE, true survivors!! ❤

Why do you need to take performance enhancing drugs, thus giving you an edge? That is cheating in my book!!!!
Don't we teach our children to follow rules, play nice, and obey laws??!!! We teach them NOT TO CHEAT!!! (I did and still teach my grandchildren this)
Well, performance enhancing drugs do exactly what they say!!!
ENHANCES YOUR PERFORMANCE!!!!!
There is nothing "Talented" about that!!! Our children and grandchildren look up to these athletes, some of them have dreams and aspire to be like them, and this is what their teaching them??
Really, their needs to be serious consequences for athletes that take performance enhanced drugs!

Sounds like a plan, but in reality, you have to be logical and weigh the facts. How much do you think your burger or fries would cost you, if the average worker was making $15. per hour?
The economy would be thrown into a tail spin...
I personally can sympathize with the workers, as I have also worked in fast food and the retail industry years ago!
But from a business standpoint, I cannot see paying $15. per hour, to a fast food worker, or any other retail employee...
For one, the cost of fast food would rise, making it unaffordable for people to eat out, and those that can afford to, will choose higher class food establishments, compared to fast food at comparable prices!
Here's a perfect example, I can go to Applebee's
for 2 for $20. and get better food choices, and a nicer atmosphere.
Fast food is fast food, you get what you pay for....
Now, no disrespect, if your going to make $15. per hour to work @ McDonalds or Burger-king, when myself, and others went to school and earned a degree or certification, then why bother, we can all just work at McDonald's or Burger King!!!
However, there are geographic areas that have a higher cost of living, and in such cases, each state should make moderate adjustments in their minimum wage.
Thus giving the average employee the equal opportunity to be able to survive in an ever struggling economy. Balance is what we should be striving for...
Sometimes relocation is necessary, if you cannot find satisfactory employment, to meet you financial needs.
The bottom line, some jobs are what they are, and when you take a job that starts off at minimum wage, such as McDonald's or Burger King, or any retail establishment, you can always try to work your way up, and advance to managerial positions.
This is sure to increase your pay! Otherwise, don't expect too much....
So, unless the minimum wage was increased across the board, making it a FEDERAL WAGE INCREASE, then I see this as an imbalance causing a bigger problem, in an already strained economy...
In my opinion, if the fast food job or retail industry is not for you, It would be best to use that job as a stepping stone, to get you to where you need to be...
Now, with that being said...I find it ironic, after all the minutia with the above article and the assistance
of local community groups, clergy and unions, including the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), that backed the strike.

"As He Spoke On The Economy At The Amazon Fulfillment Center in Tennessee"
Imagine that!!!!
I personally feel we have needed a minimum wage increase for a long time...
However, the economic future of this country relies on a balanced structure, and it takes conjoined efforts by all parties to unite to uniformly work together to find that balance.
Therefore, the motto United We Stand, Divided We Fall holds true till this day and all the days to come...❤

Kudos to the "Good Samaritan" we need more of them....
However, I'm personally concerned how an 18 month old baby, fell out of a second story window?
Where were the parents or care caregivers?
Why wasn't there a screen or some kind of safe guard on the window? (Possibly fell out) :-/
And, It takes approximately two seconds, for a toddler to get into trouble, (if you've ever had, raised, or watched a child) you know!!
So, my question is....
How did this baby fall out of a second story window?
UPDATE: FDNY did transport the 18-month-old toddler to Maimonides Hospital. The toddler has been listed in stable condition.
My prayers are with the baby

Hope everyone is having a great day!!! Mine has been better, but I don't expect It will stay this way for long...as I have made it a rule not to let ANYONE OR ANYTHING STEAL MY JOY!!!!!
Have to practice what I preach!!!!! So, with that being said......
Is EVERYBODY READY for D 4th of JULY!!!!!!!!
We know 4th of July brings together family and friends for bbq's and parties!!! Then the evening closes with the Grand Display of Fireworks!!!!!
So, along with drinking and driving safety this 4th!!!! Please make sure if you are setting off firework displays you FOLLOW ALL USE ALL SAFETY RULES AND KEEP ALL FIREWORKS AWAY FROM CHILDREN!!!!!
Following good safety rules not only keeps you safe, it keeps those around you safe as well!!!!
Now, keep cool and have a very happy 4th of July my Family and friends!!! And let's hope for a Sunshiny 4th, but if it's not.....
Then break out d umbrella's or move the picnics indoors and hope for d best....

REALLY!!! Imagine that....I heard it was an execution style murder....
Why would there even be a consideration for bail....
C'mon just think about that for a second, one would have to have lost their mind!!!! Ugh!!!! Disgusted!!!
As they say, innocent till proven guilty....however, this one is not looking to good....as reports now say....he may be involved in two more murders....
These are sad days when all you hear on the News anymore are the wrong doings and violent acts of people we hold in high honor and have come to respect....
They have been given the ability to use their names and power for GOOD and they choose to use it for horrible acts and disgrace the great gifts they were given!!!!
Where and when does it happen....that a person crosses that line of self respect and caring....or is it that they truly never had it....or is it that ALL that POWER has gone to their head and they feel they are untouchable.....
Such a sad state of times we live in!!!! And how I know it will really never return to the days of old....but I applaud all the hard efforts of those who try so hard to make this WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR ALL OF US!!!!
For all the Advocates out there that plug away on a daily basis...for all the positive input that they're doing...
For every person that shares a cause and promotes something of value!! It's those things that touch a heart ❤ and soul and change a mind...all our causes that make a difference!!!! It's those people I call my family, friends and colleagues "YOU" all make The "IMPOSSIBLE" "POSSIBLE"!!!!!! ❤

Food Network announces it will not renew Paula Deen's contract...
Unfortunately due to bad taste she was sliced and diced by the Food Network...
In the world of showbiz where entertainment is ones livelihood whether it be the "Big Screen" or the Cooking Network no one is indispensable!!
As Paula Deen found out she bit off more than she could chew and....
Speaking of chew...
Maybe she should try out for the show...The Chew on ABC,
okay maybe that's a little harsh...maybe we should cut her a break...it's not like she committed espionage or something...
Any-who I've always believed that sometimes negative publicity is d best publicity or maybe she should just host her own show and call it "The Paula Deen Show" (she says with tilted head) :-/
Either way you look at it...the media already has her in the food processor and they will continue to chew her up and spit her out till she is old news...
We all make mistakes and I'm not condoning what she did...but really, aren't there more news worthy issues....
An In d world of food idioms my tip for you Paula: "remain cool as a cucumber" and eventually this will all boil over...like everything else...it will run its natural course and life will resume as usual....and if it doesn't you can always head for Hong Kong and look up Snowden...

If you can't take the heat then get out of d kitchen....I'm afraid you are stuck with the cooking jokes till d end...
